I'm So Sorry!

Christmas has come and gone, and 2020 is ready to end in two days! (Can I get an amen??)

The first thing I want to do is apologize. I'm so so sorry I didn't post anything on Christmas (Yes, I know it was a Friday. I should have had something in the works). So, a Merry Belated Holiday-Season to you!

I have my reasons (weak as they may be) for being 5 days late on my final 2020 blog post.

  1. It was Christmas. What? Where was I? Sorry italicized friend. I think you were with the family? Whatever.

  2. I was working. Well, that's not a reason to be so tardy. Yes, I know. It's a poor excuse, but I was floated between two hospitals for three days in a row. One of which, I had to switch halfway through my shift.

  3. I am still on the mend from my head injury in November. While I'm well enough to get back to work, I still feel the effects when I'm under a lot of stress.

  4. My husband and I are buying a house...two states away. We were born and raised in California. I am an eighth generation local in my hometown. (My dad's family immigrated from Portugal nine generations ago!) Now, we are moving two states away, where I landed a job in a massive Neuro-Trauma ICU. My husband is in the process of applying for a first-responder position.

  5. Dealing with 3 different states' Nursing Boards to get my California RN License endorsed to two states, since we will be living on their shared border. Between the pandemic, and the Holidays, it's taken more than three months, and still no license.

With all that said, this is really no excuse to be off my schedule like that. However, since I will also be starting my new blog train in two days, I thought I'd pop in and say, "Hey! I have a new schedule!"

Starting today, December 30, 2020, I will be posting my random-thoughts "Bloggy" posts on Wednesday afternoons at 3PM PST. These, of course, will be followed-up by my "Triage of a Novel" posts—which premier with my triage of "This is How You Lose the Time War" by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. I cannot wait to share it with you!

Thank you all for your patience, and please take my sincerest apology to heart.

As always,

Stay safe. Stay sane. Keep healthy. Keep smiling. Much love!
